Our world revolves around technology and scientific development, and thus the widest possible dissemination of scientific knowledge to stimulate and inspire younger generations to enter the scientific field is vital. For this to happen, there must be informed and professional science journalists who can promote interaction and dialogue between science and the scientific community, the media and the wider public.

SjCOOP Boosts Science Journalists

This was the original objective of SjCOOP, a flagship project of the World Federation of Science Journalists (WFSJ), which represents 41 science journalist associations in Africa, the Americas, the Asia-Pacific, Europe and the Middle East.

SjCOOP is a mentoring programme, supported by the UK’s Department for International Development and the Development Communications Network, an NGO situated in Lagos, Nigeria.
