In an effort to provide more nutrition to children, McDonald's has decided to change the Happy Meal by reducing calories by 20 percent.
The Food Inside the Happy Meal
McDonald's will cut the portion size of french fries in half and give apple slices in addition to the fries. However, if desired, the customer may receive a full order of apple slices or french fries upon request. Also, McDonald's is contemplating other fruit and vegetable choices and will likely introduce them later, but they have not yet set a date as to when these different options will be available.
